Calculate the possibilities yourself by using these facts:

***.5 of 1% for an equivalent regular salary increase costs $120,000. Remember the accumulative two-year impact if this was applied in year one (that is, it would reduce the two year cost by $240,000).

***Remember SEA is at 3.5% in year one, the District at 1.8%.
***SEA is at 2.5% in year two, the District at .9%.

***Each $5 per month per employee for insurance costs approximately $28,620.

***Remember SEA is at $60 per month per employee additional money into insurance in year one, the District at $45.01.
***SEA is at $90 in year two, the District at $52.01.

Do your own math, and we think you will see that compromise could produce a reasonable agreement and without breaking the District's bank!
